Take a cup of mustard oil and a handful of washed curry leaves. Boil the oil and add the leaves to it. Let it infuse for 10 minutes. Apply this oil twice a week. You can store this oil also. The oil is very useful for har growth.

  • Mustard oil and Fenugreek seeds

Soak fenugreek seeds overnight in water and in morning blend them with a tablespoon of mustard oil, 1 tablespoon of yogurt and olive oil. Apply the paste on your hair from roots to tips. Leave it for 60 minutes. This is a very good conditioning mask.

  • Mustard oil and aloe gel

Mix both the ingredients together according to your hair length. Apply it on your scalp and leave it for 1 hour. Use this mask twice a week. This will help in hair growth and give you a shiny and healthy hair.

The pungent smell of the mustard oil is due to the presence of zinc, Selenium along with beta-carotene which is turned into vitamin A. It is responsible for encouraging glands present in our scalps to produce a fluid known as SEBUM which is the reason our hairs remain hydrated. Mustard oil consists of compounds like iron, calcium, and magnesium and it is a rich source of vitamins also like Vitamin A, D, E, and K. Simply apply this mixture on the scalp and gently massage hairs and wash with conditioner or shampoo after 45 – 50 minutes. This remedy can reduce the hair fall.

 It can also be used with yogurt just mix them and apply the mixture to hairs and wait for around half an hour for effective results. After half hour washes your hairs with shampoo. This remedy can make your hair smooth and shiny.

Mustard oil for hair side effects

As mentioned above, Mustard oil has many more health benefits but it has few side effects too like:

  • It doesn’t work as same as for many peoples it may cause skin and eye irritation or rashes. So, always do a patch test before applying mustard oil onto your skin.
  • It can also cause clogged pores of used excessively and if not washed properly after applying it.

To run a patch test just put a little amount of oil on arm and wait for some hours then look for some allergic signs if any don’t use the oil.
